Murray Haven Homes Inc. offers high quality care to all who have an assessed need, regardless of your financial situation. The Australian Government subsidies a range of aged care services in Australia. The My Aged Care website offers a Residential Care Fee Estimator to help you estimate what aged care fees you may be asked to pay.

Residents are required to submit a Request for a Combined Assets and Income Assessment with either the Department of Human Services or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.  Murray Haven recommends submission well in advance, as processing can take up to 4 weeks.  Residents who have not yet completed, or refuse to complete an assessment, are categorised as a non-supported resident (see below) and are required to pay full charges until an assessment is competed.  Any additional amounts paid by the resident will be refunded following the outcome of an assessment.

It is important to note that residents are classified in three categories for funding and charges:

Fully Supported

Residents with assets below the minimum permissible asset amount (currently $49,500) as determined by the completion of a Centrelink Income and Asset Assessment.

Partially Supported

For residents with assets over $49,500 and up to $168,351.20 as determined by the completion of a Centrelink Income and Asset Assessment.

Non-Supported

For residents with assets over $168,351.20 as determined by the completion of a Centrelink Income and Asset Assessment.
